Well, the election results are in. Donald J. Trump is the President Elect. But many never say die backers of Hillary R. Clinton are not able to follow their own admonition of accepting the results, and continue to disrupt the proceedings no matter what the cost to the our government and our way of life. However, that’s no surprise, the Democratic party has always, in my memory, played the whatever it takes to get elected path. Moreover, in recent times the Republicans have followed suit.
Actually, this is how The Donald became a viable candidate in the first place, running on a policy of draining the swamp. The American voter agreed with him, and overwhelmingly elected him into office. The far left was stunned, and reacted like children, including Hillary who cried throughout the night, disbelieving what had occurred. (This action alone shows her unfitness to such a demanding office – as president, imagine her reaction to a worldwide crises that bode badly for this country; God help us).
Today there is a faction of left-wingers attempting to influence members of the Electoral College to abstain from their obligation to cast their vote for Trump, ignoring the mandate of their people, and substituting their own personal preference. This of course is against individual state laws, and can result in the elector deemed a faithless elector. To date, this has never affected a presidential election, but in today’s climate, who knows?
The left wing faction in this country has no regard, absolutely no regard, for what is good or bad for the country. Its only interest is to get into office, and stay there, indeterminately. Unfortunately, much too many right-wingers fall into the same category.
The next few months may play out to be the downfall of our government, but those in power don’t give a damn, since they are insulated from mundane problems such as struggling to pay bills. You can bet if the leftists succeed in overturning this election, we the people will suffer. And future elections may well be a global laughingstock
